Proof guide

Camino Olvidado proof guide

Prepare private proof for an evidence-reviewed certificate issued by The Verified Hikes Registry.

Proof readiness

Route proof

GPX, FIT, TCX, or activity links are strongest when dates and route shape match the trail.

Supporting evidence

Photos, stamps, permits, bookings, and guide confirmation help explain gaps or route variants.

Privacy check

Private proof is reviewed securely and is not shown on the public verification page.

Review outcome

A reviewer may approve, reject, or ask for clarification before any certificate is issued.

Trail proof checklist

  • Continuous dated GPX, FIT, TCX, or equivalent activity record covering the recognised route
  • Route checkpoints: Bilbao; Balmaseda; Aguilar de Campoo; Cervera de Pisuerga; Guardo; Boñar; Cistierna branches; Villafranca del Bierzo
  • Dated endpoint and checkpoint photographs plus stage history where track coverage has material gaps
  • Evidence of required permits, bookings, guide arrangements, or access compliance where applicable

Distance and route variants are reviewed conservatively. Public pages never publish raw GPS points or private proof files.
