A long trail leaves more than a finish line.
The Verified Hikes Registry began with a simple observation after finishing the Pekoe Trail in Sri Lanka: completing a long trail can be one of the most memorable experiences of a person’s life, yet the record is often scattered across GPS files, photos, social posts, group lists, and memory.
We believe serious trail achievements deserve something more considered: a premium certificate, a permanent verification page, and careful private review that respects what the hiker chooses to submit. This origin does not imply an official relationship with the Pekoe Trail or any trail authority.
Make real trail achievements verifiable and beautiful.
The product combines a private evidence layer with a safe public registry layer. The certificate is a keepsake; the QR page is the live trust record.
Independent by default
Most certificates are evidence-reviewed registry records, not trail-authority documents. Partner and Authority wording is used only when explicitly approved.
Privacy is structural
GPS, photos, permits, filenames, storage details, contact data, and reviewer notes remain private by default.
Design carries meaning
A certificate should feel worthy of the effort behind it while preserving readable IDs, signatures, fingerprints, and disclaimers.
Evidence sets the claim
We verify only what submitted evidence supports. Route variation and uncertainty are explained rather than hidden.
No safety claim
Registry review is not route, permit, medical, weather, or safety advice. Hikers remain responsible for local conditions and rules.
Built for communities
The registry serves individual hikers, clubs, guides, events, expeditions, charities, and trail communities through controlled workflows.
A completion worth remembering deserves a record built to last.
